The Komp app is your gateway to access the Komp device.
The app lets you send photos, messages and make video calls. You may also change language preferences, time zone and add widgets like Weather.
This article will give you an introduction to the key features of the Komp app.
The feed
The feed showcases all the photos and messages that have been shared by your family. In the Komp Feed, you can view the content that is currently visible on the Komp device. Additionally, the Scheduled Feed allows you to see the content that is scheduled to be sent at a later time. Read more about scheduling content.
The content on the Komp device will be displayed in a continuous loop until it expires.
Sending photos and messages
Send photos and messages by tapping Add. You can choose between the following options:
- Take photo: use your camera to capture a photo in the moment 📸
- Upload a photo: browse through your gallery and select a picture 🖼️
- Add multiple photos: use this option if you want to quickly upload multiple images 🚀
- Compose a message: write a text message to inform your loved one about a visit, remind them to take medication or simply to say hello! 👋
After you have uploaded your photo or composed your message you will have the possibility to review the content, schedule your content, and set a duration. Learn more about adding and editing photos.
You can select a message or photo to be private, which means that they will not appear in other family members' feed, but will still appear on the Komp.
Video call
Tap Call to video call a Komp. Please note that the Komp must be online and switched on.
The video call will automatically connect after 10 seconds, unless the user turns the dial on Komp and switches Komp off.
